Outbound Operations Supervisor

Our client, a leading Manufacturing company, based in Durban, is looking to fill the position of Outbound Operations Supervisor.

Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing outbound operations, ensuring timely dispatch of goods, and managing a team to achieve operational excellence. The role will be based at the Durban operation but will require extensive travel to other operations situated in KwaZulu Natal.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate outbound logistics activities to ensure efficient operations.
2. Ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of goods to customers while minimizing delays and errors.
3. Monitor warehouse and dispatch staff to maintain productivity and compliance with company policies.
4. Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and operational regulations to prevent disruptions.
5. Oversee inventory accuracy and ensure proper documentation for all outbound shipments.
6. Collaborate with internal departments, including procurement, warehousing, and customer service, to optimize supply chain processes.
7. Identify inefficiencies in outbound operations and implement process improvements to enhance performance.
8. Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance to foster a high-performing team.
9. Address and resolve any logistical challenges, delays, or errors in the outbound process.
10. Generate reports and provide data-driven insights for management to improve logistics strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Matric / Grade 12
2. Relevant diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
3. 3+ years proven experience in a supervisory role within logistics or dispatch operations.
4. Strong SAP experience
