KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation & Management

• Produce, edit and publish compelling digital content including articles, videos, podcasts, and social media posts, reels, and TikTok posts.
• Ensure all content aligns with the station’s brand voice and strategy.
• Manage the content calendar to ensure a steady timely flow of new content.

Social Media Management

• Promote articles and other content across social media platforms.
• Execute social media strategies to increase audience engagement and grow the station’s online community.
• Monitor social media channels, respond to audience interactions, and engage with followers.
• Track and analyze social media performance metrics to refine strategies.

Collaboration and Coordination

• Work closely with on-air talent to source and promote content.

Analytics & Reporting

• Monitor and analyze website traffic and social media engagement.
• Provide insights and recommendations for digital performance improvements.

Audience Engagement

• Develop strategies to boost audience participation through online contests, polls, and interactive content.
• Incorporate user-generated content to enhance community engagement.

Website Management

• Update the station's website with fresh weekend content, including show highlights, news, and multimedia elements.
• Optimize web content for SEO to improve search engine ranking and drive traffic.

General

• Research and prepare for the weekend shows.
• Implement commercial posts across digital platforms as needed.
• Ensure all content extends seamlessly across Jacaranda FM's multimedia platforms.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience in digital content production, preferably within a media or entertainment environment.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and multimedia editing tools.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Ability to work independently over weekends and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and a passion for digital media and radio.
• Familiarity with podcast production and distribution.
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Knowledge of emerging digital trends and technologies.
