Operations Specialist - Logistics

Hire Resolve's client, a leading company in the Logistics sector, is currently seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join their team in Port Elizabeth. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of logistics operations.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain and oversee master data such as organizations, reference files, and rates, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
2. Execute centralized data entry processes that adhere to standardized practices, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
3. Continuously monitor performance metrics to identify trends and implement strategies for improvement.
4. Analyze data quality to pinpoint areas for enhancement and explore opportunities for increased automation.
5. Conduct thorough audits and vetting of global standard procedures, ensuring compliance and identifying improvement areas.
6. Actively share and implement best practices across teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
7. Lead initiatives aimed at maximizing productivity and streamlining processes.
8. Test and provide training on new C1 functions and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and effective utilization.

Requirements

1. University degree (or local equivalent) in Finance, Business, or Logistics (preferred).
2. Experience in international Freight Forwarding.
3. Experience in Shared or Centralized Services is preferred.
4. Business and Data Analysis experience is required.
5. Excellent organizational skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
7. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
8. CargoWise Certified Specialist.
9. Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
10. Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
