A leading retail brand is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee the operational functions of all its retail stores nationwide. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader who will ensure smooth operations across Sales, Marketing, Admin, HR, Project Management, Training and Development. The ideal candidate will provide direction, guidance, and unwavering support to store teams, driving overall business performance and aligning all operations with the brand's goals.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (BCom) in Retail Management or a related field (preferred)
Minimum of 6+ years in a retail operations management role overseeing multiple store locations
Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring store management teams
Strong financial management skills, including payroll, budgeting, and cost control
Proficient in retail analytics and performance reporting, with a data-driven approach
Solid understanding of retail policies, risk management, and labour law compliance
Proficiency in retail management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness and ability to travel to various store locations
Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Efficiency & Strategy: Lead and manage operations across all retail locations to ensure seamless functionality. Partner with senior leadership to implement strategies for improving sales and customer experience. Monitor operational performance and recommend strategic improvements. Maintain brand standards and ensure all stores operate optimally.
Retail Performance Reporting: Oversee and analyze key metrics including sales trends, foot traffic, and inventory. Deliver regular performance reports and insights to senior management. Use data to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure target achievement.
Inventory Management & Stock Control: Supervise inventory across all stores, maintaining optimal stock levels. Coordinate with store managers to prevent overstocking or stockouts. Implement stock control processes and minimize loss or shrinkage. Oversee the execution of required stock counts.
Operational & Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop store managers and teams. Foster a positive, inclusive, performance-driven culture across stores. Ensure consistent delivery on KPIs including sales and customer satisfaction.
Policies, Compliance, and Risk Management: Enforce compliance with company policies, retail standards, and legal requirements. Conduct audits and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations. Identify and manage operational risks, including inventory and employee welfare. Investigate and document any incidents or accidents, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
Financial & Cost Management: Oversee payroll and budget processes, ensuring legal and internal compliance. Monitor labour costs and ensure efficient staffing. Approve payroll and manage attendance, scheduling, and time-off.
