Operations Manager (Manufacturing) - KwaZulu-Natal, Isithebe

Candidates with a tertiary qualification in production management, industrial engineering, or operations management, or alternatively extensive years' experience in a senior management role managing all aspects of an FMCG manufacturing site, will qualify for the role of Operations Manager.

Note: Individuals need to be willing to relocate.

My client is seeking a professional individual with exposure to managing all aspects of a manufacturing site, with a strong focus on production management, measurement tools, and disciplines. Individuals need to have sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical applications for maintenance, machines, and projects. Computer literacy in MS Office, SYSPRO, Shopware, and DATASCOPE is required.

Experience/Requirements:

• Monthly budget & expenditure control.
• Implementing & working with warehouse management systems and tools.
• Responsibility for inventory control and procedures (on-site and off-site).
• Supplier contract negotiations.
• Quality system compliance.
• Responsibility for health, safety, security, fire, and risk.
• Production planning experience within a complex environment.
• An understanding of production and process flows.
• Manage all IT requirements and risks.
• Responsible for on-site administration functions.
• Sound knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, negotiating and dealing with Employee Unions.
