Requirements:
Great communication skills - English, Zulu, Afrikaans, other
Telephone skills
Minimum of 5 years’ experience at the Operations Management level within a technical, electrical, mechanics, or manufacturing company
Proven management track record with references
Valid driver’s license
Diploma or Degree in Production Management, Operations Management, or electrical or Mechanic systems
Responsibilities:
Assessing tech reports for a new processing job
Customer communication regarding updates
Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
Determining quality control standards
Overseeing workflow processes
Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary
Organising the repair and routine maintenance of equipment
Liaising with buyers and marketing and sales staff
Supervising and managing the work of staff
Organising relevant training sessions
Ensuring accurate reporting for flow and invoicing purposes
Maintaining management of control systems
Setting and agreeing on targets with Management
Facilitating the development and maintenance of the operations process
Maintaining a balanced service to cost and profitability ratio through evaluating, analysing, and managing performance, variations, escalations, special requests, projects, and network optimisation
Quality assurance of service delivery including identifying and creating solutions to resolve service delivery failures and exceptions
Ensuring workplace health, safety, and security requirements
Producing accurate monthly operational reports
Undertaking department and staff performance reviews
Building value-based relationships with relevant customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
