The purpose of the role is to understand the business requirement, build configurable solutions on Compass, evaluate the solution, and write functional specifications for the interfacing systems that integrate with Compass.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build a configurable solution on Compass based on business requirements.
2. Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management / Agile Release Trains (ART's).
3. Facilitate / participate in design review sessions.
4. Train users and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
5. Investigate system problems and support the Application Managed Services (AMS) team in remediating production issues.
6. Create functional and technical specifications / user stories.
7. Provide technical support to business users.
8. Review test plans and the test book for each project release before User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
9. Conduct systems testing to ensure that the design was aligned and designed according to the technology business requirement specifications.
10. Provide support for system testing.
11. Mentor / support junior Compass Configurers.
12. Apply patch config to keep the software version up to date.
13. Collaborate with developers / architects and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
14. Gain a deep understanding of the Compass Retail product setup / offering.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Min 5 years' experience of business requirements analysis.
2. Compass configuration at least 5-7 years.
3. Experience in the insurance industry (non-negotiable).
4. Working knowledge of AGILE.
5. Able to write basic Oracle SQL queries will be an advantage.
6. A minimum of Matric.
7. Relevant Agile certification and training.
8. Safe Program Consultants (SPC) certification is compulsory.
