Purpose of the Position

Support in generating revenue by creating proposals, responding to briefs, aligning and bundling non-linear with linear, implementing campaigns timeously for DMS commercial video on demand (VOD), Competitions & digital offerings, as well as third-party platform partners across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Key Performance Areas

Tasks

  1. Achieve Budgets
  2. Assist with information or product and platform insights to assist in-marketing and/or product sales.
  3. Enable and support the Digital Sales of the DStv platform.
  4. Educate, develop and recommend strategic direction to clients on how to use the medium effectively.
  5. Innovate and strategically create opportunities for clients.
  6. Campaign and Proposal Management
  7. Act as the gateway for clients and all internal stakeholders.
  8. Track delivery during the campaign period.
  9. Campaign Implementation
  10. Manage the delivery of all required elements from all stakeholders.
  11. Ongoing communication to related production, marketing and scheduling departments.
  12. Operational Excellence
  13. Client Relationship Management & Networking
  14. Policy Adherence

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing or similar.

Experience

  1. 4-6 years sales experience in a large Telecommunications company or Media Sales environment.
  2. A minimum of 5 years in the Television or Digital Advertising industry.
  3. Proficient in VoD & digital.
  4. Proven record of sales support, project management, campaign management.

  1. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal in English.
  2. Networking and Relationship Building capabilities.
  3. Analytical Thinking.
  4. Teamwork.
