Job Title: Ombuds Case Manager (6-Month Contract)

Location: Cape Town, South Africa

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Ombuds Case Manager to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and resolving complaints, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. This role requires expertise in Ombuds and Case Management, with a strong background in compliance and reporting. International Ombuds experience is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and investigate complaints in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Ensure the timely and effective resolution of cases, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and impartiality.
  • Provide detailed reports on case progress, findings, and outcomes to senior management.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to resolve issues and prevent recurrence of similar cases.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices in handling complaints and cases.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all case management activities.
  • Advise on potential improvements to case management processes and reporting systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Ombuds function.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Compliance role.
  • Proven experience in Ombuds or Case Management, with a strong track record of handling sensitive and complex cases.
  • International Ombuds experience is a must.
  • Experience in reporting, including compiling and presenting detailed reports to stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certification or training in Compliance, Ombuds, or Case Management.
  • Experience in a similar industry or sector.
