About The Role

We are seeking an experienced locum neuro-OT to provide rehabilitation for patients with neurological conditions across acute, subacute, and outpatient settings.

This is a role where you will work very independently and with minimal supervision; hence this role will not be appropriate for those with less than 3 years of work experience.

Your Daily Responsibilities May Include:

1. Assessment: Evaluating motor, sensory, cognitive, and emotional abilities to set therapy goals.
2. Therapy: Enhancing mobility, fine motor skills, cognitive function, and independence in daily tasks.
3. Training: Teaching adaptive strategies, compensatory techniques, and caregiver education.
4. Collaboration: Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for holistic care.
5. Documentation: Tracking progress and updating treatment plans.

Qualifications

About You: You're an enthusiastic LOCUM Occupational Therapist living in Johannesburg with a passion for rehabilitation and client-centered care.

You're confident to treat patients across acute hospital, sub-acute, outpatient, and community settings.

You're willing to work weekends and/or weekdays when the demand requires.

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
2. Current HPCSA registration
3. South African citizen or valid work visa
4. Minimum 3+ years experience in adult neurorehabilitation (no exceptions)
5. Proficiency in clinical documentation and basic IT platforms

Additional Preferences:

1. Valid driver's license and personal car to enable easy travel between units
2. Postgraduate courses in Hands, Vocational Rehabilitation, Wheelchair seating, and/or Return To Driving
