Responsible for the management of occupational health services including primary health care, dispensing, stakeholder engagement and providing ongoing reports and management of clinical staff.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma or degree in general
Bachelor of Technology in Occupational Health
Dispensing license
Current registration with South African Nursing Council
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Occupational Health
Computer Proficiency
Certificate in audiometry, spirometry and vision
Understanding of the following: the Mine Health and Safety Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Act 85 of 1993, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO/IEC 17020:201
Minimum Duties:
Ability to carry out examinations and procedures in terms of the governing legislation for occupational health:
Conduct all types of medical fitness assessments: pre-employment, transfer, annual and exit
Assist with primary health care management
Management and appropriate referrals of minor injuries on duty
Performance of spirometry, audiometry, vision screening and highlighting significant abnormalities to the Occupational Medical Practitioner
Assisting Clinic Manager with monthly reports and audits
