Job Description:
The Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner will be responsible for providing an efficient occupational health service for employees, which includes promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative healthcare. Responsibilities include assisting with surveys, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and company policies, counselling and referring EAP candidates, conducting medical fitness tests, and certifying according to Occ Health regulations.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have +1 years' experience as Occupational Health Nursing Practitioner
- +3 Years Post Qualification Experience
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist with or arrange and document pre-placement, annual, and exit medical examinations
- Certification of medicals according to Occ Health Regulations and within Scope of practice
- Treatment of injuries due to accidents on site
- Diagnose, treat, and monitor illness in terms of primary health care, reporting problem cases to the nurse manager or doctor
- Follow up on individuals with chronic conditions
- Monitor biological and medical examinations, reporting defects or abnormalities
- Provide confidential counselling and support, monitor disease progression
- Assist with health education
- Support employees with EAP and LTD policies, refer to nurse manager if necessary
- Review sick certificates and provide relevant counselling
- Communicate with management and external agencies
- Maintain medical records of employees
- Awareness of environmental factors influencing ergonomics
- Develop wellness awareness among employees
- Plan and implement Occupational Health programmes
- Assist with injury reports and supporting documents
- Encourage employee buy-in for Occupational Health programmes
- Provide primary health care in line with government health policy
- Call Centre functions: manage referrals and follow-ups
- Conduct Medical Fitness Assessments
- Perform Spirometry, Vision Screening, Audiometry Testing
- Administer IV Fluids and vitamin drips as prescribed
- Treat/manage day-to-day illness affecting employees
- Minimise lost time due to accidents/illness
- General Administrative functions, including accurate record keeping
- Ensure effective cost management
- Supervise and manage the Occupational Health Centre Team
- Manage call center candidates
- Health Education through planned programmes
