Occupational Health Nurse - Coast West

Exciting opportunities exist for an Occupational Health Nurse to work in an Occupational Health Clinic in the Overberg area (Bonnievale). The current advertised position is for a non-shift position, 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for rendering a quality occupational and primary healthcare service that is effective and efficient, meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations and requirements.

Critical Outputs

• Working in an onsite clinic offering occupational and primary health care services
• Managing client contracts on site
• Compiling and implementing an occupational health programme
• Meeting targets set in occupational health and quality programme
• Fulfilling quality audit requirements for the site
• Initiating and managing health projects on site
• Working well within a team
• Delivering high-quality healthcare services
• Meeting administration needs timeously
• Meeting the prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life HS and the client

Requirements

• The candidate must be a current registered Nurse with the SANC
• Additional qualification in Occupational Health required
• Additional qualification in audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, and dispensing
• The candidate should have experience and be competent in basic computer skills, administration, employee relations, and communication
• Candidates who are results-oriented, have initiative, and the ability to deliver quality outputs and reduce costs will be most suitable for this position
• Competent in emergency first aid for medical emergencies
• Own transport
