JOB Location - Fujairah, UAE - Flights and accommodation provided.

A Safety Coordinator, or Safety Specialist, helps improve the overall safety of the workplace. Their duties include assessing safety, enforcing safety standards, and educating employees.

They consider industry regulations and the specific risks in the workplace to ensure normal work activities are handled safely. They train employees on safety protocols and enforce them if they’re not followed properly. Safety Coordinators also respond when workplace accidents happen, creating reports and determining ways to prevent similar accidents.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in UAE in non-industrial sites, preferably from a facility maintenance company, community management firms, private properties, etc.
  • Strong communication and English skills.
  • Confident and strong in dealing with conflicts.
  • OSHA approved.
  • Very good knowledge of local/ISO 45001/International/OSHA regulations.
  • MUST HAVE HOTEL / RESORT EXPERIENCE.

JOB SKILLS

  • Intervenes in correcting unsafe work practices.
  • Monitors adherence to safety policies and guidelines.
  • Organizes accident investigation processes.
  • Develops safety policies for organizations.
  • Keeps record of all safety-related issues and ensures corrective measures are taken.
  • Possesses a high level of problem-solving abilities.
  • Pays keen attention to details.
  • Reviews and recommends changes to regular activities.
  • Manages and enforces OSH policies and regulations.
  • Develops and coordinates training for general safety, worker's compensation, and accident investigation.
  • Monitors staff, equipment, and machinery to evaluate and improve health and safety conditions.
  • Investigates and reports on accidents and incidents.
  • Leads and participates in workplace audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborates with managers and stakeholders to address safety issues.
