JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW
The Intern will play a critical role in the Nutritional Sciences and Innovation team. The intern will either focus on 1) claims and communication of our existing portfolio or 2) support innovation: both early-stage and long-term pipeline projects.
The intern will be responsible for helping build out the Nutritional Science Education materials and maintain key innovation initiatives including claims development. The intern will learn how to translate science into differentiated and meaningful claims, communications, concepts, and products. Strong people and networking skills and a true passion for innovation and science are required.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Develop a claims pipeline for a strategic scientific area (i.e., sleep, cognition, gut health, women’s health, beauty from within, etc.)
Perform literature review of articles via PubMed or other accredited databases on key scientific areas
Competitive landscape overview
Develop a nutrition one-pager of key information
Identify KOLs to work with for external collaborations
Support the identification of emerging trends for the key benefit areas
Support front-end innovation activities including but not limited to workshops, prototyping, and claimstorming
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Student currently in a Bachelor Program for Nutrition Science or comparable life science degree
Broad knowledge and interest in Nutrition Science
Ability to protect IP-generation from within Unilever
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present information clearly and concisely
Problem-solving, troubleshooting skills, and ability to find creative solutions
Ability to work successfully both independently and in a ‘team-based’ collaborative environment
