We are currently looking to employ a Nursing Manager at our Evergreen Lifestyle Village situated within the prestigious Val de Vie Estate in Paarl. The Nursing Manager will provide support and guidance to the nurses working in our healthcare centre and to implement our mission to provide our patients with safe, compassionate care.

As a nursing manager in our organization, you’d be expected to manage the sub-acute unit, the long-term care facility and the primary healthcare as well as home based care support to the lifestyle village of older persons.

Other skills would include billing and budget management, staffing by organizing employee schedules through off duties aligned to patient acuity levels, staff related payroll, leave and conduct management; nursing administration; planning and organising unit resources, quality management to include incidents and audit preparation; and monthly statistical reports with high acuity village data.

The incumbent needs to lead evidence-based patient care plan execution that supports our facility goals and co-ordinate a multidisciplinary team to include doctor’s clinics. Case management experience would be required to do medical aid authorisations for the 8 licensed sub-acute beds in the unit.

Your office would be located within the patient care unit, providing in-house leadership to RNs, ENAs, and care workers working in the health department and managing the relevant support services, as well as ensure in-service training. This position encompasses a vital middle management link between corporate head office level of management and the healthcare team rendering the clinical service delivery.
