Night Shift Controller (Logistics)

Night Shift Controller (Logistics) – Durban (Umbilo).

Requirements:

• Matric
• Experience in logistics will be advantageous
• Must have minimum 1 year experience in logistics
• Must be computer literate
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to think on your feet
• Team-player
• Able to work and thrive under pressure
• Operationally a hands-on person
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver accurate work within a deadline driven environment
• Ability to multitask
• Time management skills
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organisation

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all trips are sent to the debriefing hub that comes to the depot when on duty
• Monitor tracker and provide feedback to clients and Reps and day shift
• Driver handover for late evening trips
• Maintain Driver lists and files
• Booking and maintaining Training Matrix liaise with day shift
• PPE inspections for drivers on the late shift
• Capturing of NMPI’s afternoon/evening shift
• Issuing of Toolbox talks and that it gets signed for evening shift
• Vehicle spot checks for evening shift
• Assist with log sheets that need to be captured
• Ensure that a proper hand-over is done with the day shift
• Assist with H&S if required
• Will be required to work on weekends as per roster (alternating)

Salary: Commensurate with qualification and experience.

Working hours: 8PM to 5 AM (however may differ from time to time).

3 Month probation with possibility of going permanent.
