Networking Specialist / Field Application Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical sales support, consulting, and innovative industrial networking solutions based on the company's full range of products.
• Travel to site as and when necessary (travel allowance provided).
• Work with industrial networking, switching, VLANs, Fibre, VPNs, IoT, firewalls, and cybersecurity (mines, factories, water, solar).
• Identify hardware and software issues, provide troubleshooting, diagnosis, repairs, and solutions (installation, configuration & deployment).
• Conduct SAT and FAT product testing and offer technical support.
• Facilitate technical product training in industrial networking.
• Provide proficient reporting (case study solutions).
• Perform RMA product testing and troubleshooting.
• Manage time, projects, and additional assignments to meet the company's strategic objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in industrial networking and field support (Control & Instrumentation technician experience).
• BTech Diploma / Degree in Network Engineering (preferable - or similar).
• Knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA development – advantageous.
• CompTIA: A+, N+, S+
• Knowledge of C+ and C++ (advantageous).
• Strong understanding and experience in networking, Wi-Fi, IoT (LAN and WAN), switching, VLANs, Fibre, VPNs, and IoT.
• CCNA (CISCO) Layer 2 / Layer 3 certified.
• Age (30-35 years)

• Identify and resolve hardware/software issues, provide solutions, troubleshoot, and perform repairs.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, reporting, time management, and project management skills.

• Enthusiastic about industrial OT networks & IT.
• Maintain necessary certifications and participate in ongoing training.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Windows.
• Willing to travel with own working vehicle.
• Valid SA ID / VISA and passport (training in Germany).
• Valid driver’s license.

Package & Remuneration:

• Basic - R30 000 – R35 000 per month (negotiable, based on skills, work experience & ability)
