Brief Description

Key Responsibilities

  • To have technical ability to accurately check and confirm network health, network issues, customer solution status and failed provisioning errors.
  • Accurately report any network failures, coordinate with 3rd parties if necessary and provide feedback.
  • Ensuring all incidents under your responsibility are always up to date and clear.
  • Weekly reporting.
  • Contribute to the documentation of the team to enhance existing procedures and knowledge base documentation in line with the philosophy of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Matric/ Grade 12.
  • Minimum 3-year Diploma in IT (NQF 6) or equivalent academic qualifications.
  • A+ certification.
  • N+ certification.
  • CCNA certification.
  • 2 years’ experience in LAN, WAN, and Wireless.

Competencies

  • Technical ability to accurately check and confirm network health, network issues, customer solution status and failed provisioning errors.
  • Properly and accurately document all work once completed, which will be part of performance measurement.
  • Monitor and respond to network faults proactively.
  • Superior customer service.
  • Effectively coordinate faults with 3rd parties.
  • Taking calls and tickets to troubleshoot and recording resolutions.
  • Network points testing.
  • Recording historical reporting.
  • Assisting with administrative duties such as ticket data capturing.
