Relevant Qualification (Diplomas and Certification) (NQF 6)
3 to 5 years of job-related experience.
Fortinet certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4 or NSE 5 (NSE 7 and NSE 8 are advantageous).
Certification or proven experience in implementing 2FA solutions.
Any additional certifications in IT Networking, Security, or Desktop Support are a plus (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician).
Required Skills and Experience:
Fortinet Technology Expertise:
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions (firewalls, VPN, etc.).
Strong experience with configuring and deploying FortiClient VPN solutions.
Experience with two-factor authentication (2FA) implementation, preferably with Fortinet tools.
Desktop Support:
Solid background in desktop support, assisting end-users with VPN and security-related issues.
Ability to troubleshoot client-side VPN and 2FA issues.
IT Networking Knowledge:
Proficiency in IT networking principles, including firewall configurations, VPN setup, and secure access protocols.
Experience with network diagnostics, security auditing, and troubleshooting network issues related to VPN.
Customer Engagement:
Excellent communication skills to engage with end-users and stakeholders for training and troubleshooting.
Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical language to ensure user understanding and adoption.
Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of 2FA on FortiClient VPN across various user groups.
Configure and manage Fortinet firewall and VPN policies to support 2FA.
Provide end-user desktop support during the 2FA rollout, troubleshooting, and resolving connectivity issues.
Collaborate with IT networking teams to ensure network readiness and secure integration of 2FA.
Engage with customers and stakeholders to communicate project status, resolve concerns, and provide training on 2FA usage.
Document all technical processes, configurations, and user support procedures to ensure smooth handover post-implementation.
Assist in monitoring and auditing the security posture after 2FA implementation to ensure continued compliance and protection.
