We are a small college in Cape Town offering finance and accounting training. In 2025 we will be offering the National Certificate (Vocational) in Finance, Economics and Accounting to a small cohort of 20 students at Level 2.
We require a part-time lecturer for a group of 20 students at NC(V) level 2 in Finance, Economics and Accounting.
Subjects
Your role
The role includes lesson planning and task preparation, lecturing, organising relevant curricular activities, the development of the assessment instruments, as well as marking and moderation as per DHET standards. It also includes all classes administration, such as keeping attendance, reporting on student performance, upholding punctuality, applying student discipline, and performing all relevant duties within the ambit of teaching and learning.
Working hours
This can be a full-time or a part-time role, requiring you to teach about 2-3 hours per subject per week. Your total number of hours depends on the number of subjects you are able to teach.

REQUIREMENTS
Our ideal candidate is a retired or past lecturer in any of the NC(V) subjects listed above and should be able to travel to our Cape Town (CBD) campus 4 days a week.
Matric certificate plus an appropriate M+3 Qualification (National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree) in the above-mentioned field/subject.
National Teacher’s Qualification and SACE registration.
Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Assessor/Moderator qualification will be an added advantage.
