Job Purpose: To carry out day-to-day management and monitoring of all project activities and reports to Head GCIP-SA.

Minimum Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, International Relations or other relevant discipline is required.
- At least five (5) years of professional experience in project management or portfolio project management is required.
- Experience in evaluating the needs, conditions, and problems in developing countries is desirable.
- Experience in International Partnerships will be an added advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of cleantech, training, financing, business development, and project management.
- Experience of working on similar assignments.
- Demonstrated experience in the field of innovation and/or energy project development and commercialization.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Demonstrated track record of relevant work in the mentioned area (publications, project documents, reports).
- Experience in working with the government, donors, civil society and international organisations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Perspective
- Consolidating six-monthly financial expenditure reports and annual audited financial expenditure reports.
- Keeping track of day-to-day activities related to the execution of the project, including procurement, financial management/budget as well as overall supervision of project activities according to the M&E framework.
Stakeholder Management
- Establish a national cleantech innovation platform and contract hub partners.
- Profile all SA cleantech innovator support services.
- Support analysis of SA’s CIEE using tool developed by the global GCIP project.
- Support the development of a GCIP capacity building strategy and action plan.
- Conduct capacity building events for selected CIEE stakeholders, including national institutions, industry associations, and business platforms on how to support cleantech innovations.
- Develop and deliver targeted interventions to promote gender equality and enhance participation of youth and women.
- Support the mapping of regulatory barriers in two sectors and develop a template for mapping.
- Carry out awareness raising, launch and showcasing of GCIP alumni for investment.
- Capture knowledge gathered by the GCIP South Africa through policy briefs, impact reports, brochures, webinars, and other types of promotional materials, and disseminate this knowledge through briefing sessions, press releases, social media presence and advertising.
- Establish an alumni network and community of mentors and judges and facilitate networking nationally and globally.
- Participate in international fora including GCIP global forum and facilitate GCIP alumni to attend.
Internal Processes
- Ensuring that tracking of overall project milestones and progress towards the attainment of targets is achieved.
- Proposing and introducing corrective measures in case the target achievement is at risk.
- Consolidating regular progress reports and consolidating regular impact reports.
- Providing inputs to the annual GEF Project implementation report.
- Review and adapt GCIP internal guidelines for project management teams, and participate in the annual meetings for national PEE.
- Develop the GCIP South Africa sustainability and exit strategy.
- Review and adapt the GCIP knowledge management, communication, and advocacy strategy framework for South Africa.
- Develop and maintain GCIP national online platform.
- Provide training on the GCIP methodology for impact assessment to the GCIP SA Accelerator semi-finalists.
- Validate and consolidate the GCIP SA enterprise impact data, and develop and publish a GCIP SA impact report.
- Prepare the GCIP SA M&E plan adapted from Global guidelines.

- KPA’s are understood and achieved as agreed upon in the Performance agreement.
- Review performance against agreed performance standards.
- Live the values and culture of TIA.
- Identify and implement development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement of work effectiveness and efficiency, aligned to Portfolio Manager or Programme Manager career ladder agreed with Head.
Organisation Information Systems and tools are optimally utilized to execute core tasks.
