Monocle is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a consultant. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain finance reporting processes, focusing on key metrics for investments, life and general insurance products.
• Collaborate with finance and business teams to gather and document reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 17 and other relevant accounting standards.
• Assist in the finance transformation initiatives, modernising finance data, and reporting processes.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends and insights.
• Provide input to the requirements specification and design new finance reporting systems.

The successful candidate must:

• Hold a degree, with strong preference for a post graduate qualification.
• Have 5 years or more relevant experience in the Insurance industry.

Qualification Requirements:

• Hold a degree, with strong preference for a post graduate qualification.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance reporting within the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of life and general insurance products.
• Proven experience with IFRS 17 and other relevant accounting standards.
• Experience in business systems implementation initiatives.

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in finance reporting tools and software.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience with data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with finance reporting systems and their implementation.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling.

Additionally, the following would be advantageous:

• Professional accounting qualification.
• Experience with finance transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in the insurance sector.
• Qualification or experience in project management or a PMP / Prince 2 qualification.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
