Our client is seeking a Missing Project Worker to join a team based in Ashton Under Lyne.
Responsibilities:
Conduct return to home interviews with children and young people returning home after a missing episode.
Establish causes for running away, experiences encountered while away, and potential resolutions to identified issues.
Complete specialist exploitation assessments, risk reduction, and support plans.
Deliver interventions addressing concerns such as violence, substance misuse, ACEs, and trauma impact.
Provide support to protect individuals from harm and prevent risks.
Ensure appropriate help and support provision to reduce missing from home episodes.
Work with partner agencies to provide appropriate services.
Escalate immediate safeguarding concerns.
Gather information for sharing with Children's Social Care, Police, and other relevant services.
Build trusting working relationships.
Maintain records of services provided to service users.
Attend meetings, reviews, and conferences as necessary.
Requirements:
Driving License, access to a vehicle, and business insurance.
Recent experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
Direct experience and thorough understanding of challenges faced by young people at risk of or being criminally exploited by organized criminal gangs.
Good knowledge of child protection safeguarding processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service.
