RCL FOODS is seeking a Millwright to join our Baking Division. The role will be based in Pretoria West and report to the Maintenance Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the machines do not deteriorate.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, bearings, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
• Comply with Food Safety standards.
• Assemble, install and/or repair pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Ensure that your department complies with all Health and Safety regulations.
• Diagnose and correct mechanical issues.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine faults.
• Direct and train workers to install and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Record maintenance and repair work.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Participate in projects and machine installations.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Millwright Trade certification.
• 3 or more years of post-trade experience.
• Experience with PLC/VSD Drives.
• Experience with panel wiring.
• Ability to prioritize workload.
• Report writing and analysis skills.
• Experience in mentoring apprentices.
• Must be able to work shifts and be available for callouts and standby.
• Driver’s license with own transport.
• Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, and repairs of machinery such as mixers, ovens, proofers, conveyors, slicers, and packaging equipment.
