Description: Our client in the agriculture industry is currently looking to employ a Milking Machine Technician based in the Fishriver region, Eastern Cape.

Please note that applicants from Fishriver, Cradock, Cookhouse, and Somerset East areas will be considered.

Requirements:

• Certification in electrical mechanical maintenance, agricultural technology, or a related field will be beneficial.
• Proven experience as a milking machine technician or in a similar technical role (e.g., electrical or mechanical equipment technician) will be beneficial.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair dairy equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Installation & Maintenance: Install, test, and maintain milking machines and related dairy equipment, ensuring they are functioning at optimal levels.
• Repairs: Diagnose and repair malfunctions or issues with milking machines, pumps, pipelines, and other dairy equipment.
• Routine Inspections: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on milking machines and other machinery to identify and resolve any potential issues before they impact operations.
• Troubleshooting: Quickly respond to malfunctions or breakdowns to minimize downtime, using troubleshooting skills to find the cause and implement effective solutions.
• Training: Provide training and support to farm staff on the proper use and maintenance of milking equipment.
• Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections to comply with farm regulations and industry standards.
