This position is for an experienced merchandise planner that will be based in the Sustainable design department within the TFG Design Centre.
This role performs the central liaison between all stakeholders i.e. external designers, retail buying team, internal design teams and production units.
Responsible to educate and mentor designers on how to produce garments for a big retail team from concept through to bulk order delivery.
Convert into our technical specs, job allocations on our central computer systems such as PLM Centric and ISYNC to facilitate proper planning at factory level.
Documenting cost of time and resources spent on project, capturing on the BBBEE scorecard programme and publish year to date spend against the approved yearly budget.
Able to take initiative and drive the process and timeline adherence.
Qualifications and Experience:
Tertiary qualification in clothing production or design
Minimum 2-5 year experience in a clothing manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Centric system will be beneficial but not essential
