A giant in the retail / fashion industry is seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to join their team.
Position: Full time / part time | Start: ASAP | Salary: R800 000 - R850 000 PA
Key Areas
- Item plan accuracy (esp core PC9’s) – Item level forecast
- Account management
- Seasonal Planning – Pre/In Season & Post Season
- Overall Margin / Profitability of the assortment
- Fill rate of core PC9’s
- Business Performance and Trend Analysis
- Return Rates
- Inventory Health Improvement
Specialized Knowledge/Technical Skills
- Demonstrated forecasting/planning expertise and experience in the wholesale apparel industry preferred
- Proven experience understanding retail planning and executing exceptional quantitative skills
- High level of Excel skills
- Analytical Skills
- Ability to analyze trends and interpret data to make informed decisions based on quantitative insights
- Evaluate performance metrics such as sell-through rates and inventory holding levels to assess account health and adjust where necessary

Qualifications And Experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a merchandise planning function, preferably in apparel or CPG
- Effective multi-tasker, with strong ability to interact with multi-functional stakeholders
