Salary Bands : (Band 6- up to 7)-£36000 -£45000 Per Annum (dependant on years’ experience)

We are searching for candidates within the following criteria:
BSc Occupational Therapy or recognized equivalent Occupational Therapy qualification.
Mental health industry experience. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience (Alzheimer's, Dementia, Bipolar, Schizophrenia)
A minimum of 2 years direct Adult Occupational Therapy experience (post qualified)
Experience of undertaking assessments and occupational therapy
Experience of managing risk within a risk enablement approach
Experience working with adults in a Clinical or Psychiatry setting
Hospital & discharge planning, or similar experience
HCPC registered or registration in process (these candidates always get first preference) this is not essential as we can happily assist you with this
A Valid Driver’s License (non-negotiable)
Key responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health conditions, functional abilities, and occupational performance
Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, in collaboration with the patient, their family, and the interdisciplinary team
Therapeutic Interventions: Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address clients' mental health challenges and improve their ability to engage in meaningful occupations
Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms or emotional distress
Group Therapy: Facilitate group therapy sessions to address social skills, coping strategies, and other mental health needs within a group setting
Skill Building: Assist patients in developing and enhancing skills related to activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), and vocational pursuits
Environmental Modification: Recommend environmental modifications and adaptations to optimize patients' independence and safety within their living and working environments
Family Education and Support: Educate and support patients' families and caregivers in understanding mental health conditions, coping strategies, and ways to provide effective support.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, interventions, progress notes, and discharge summaries
Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and case managers, to ensure holistic and coordinated care for patients
We will assist you with the following:
Relevant professional body registration
Liaising and arranging interviews.
Support, advise and help make arrangements for Visa’s and Biometric permits.
Booking flights
Temporary and permanent accommodation
Basic information and assistance for bank account set up etc.
