Inbound DMC based in Sandton is looking for a Members & Africa Direct Strategist who can develop and drive the strategy for the Direct Residents and Members Clubs in Africa, focusing on growing the membership base, elevating the guest experience, managing events and functions, and communication across all channels. The successful incumbent must be passionate about driving growth and engagement in the DIRECT CLIENT market.
The person should be a detail-oriented strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging data.
Responsibilities
Client Relationships / Loyalty: Identify and grow the members club & build relationships across the group. Enhance their overall experience and drive more sales.
Marketing / Communications: Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to create targeted campaigns and promotions. Analyze databases for better communication and alignment with CRM systems in the direct channel. Keep members informed through newsletters, emails, and personalized updates.
Strategy / Sales: Plan and execute events that align with members' interests. Identify and implement new initiatives to increase member engagement. Coordinate and execute effective onboarding processes for new members, ensuring a seamless transition into our community.
Reporting & Analysis: Monitor and report performance metrics to guide strategic decisions.
Requirements
Degree / Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or Communication, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in TRAVEL INDUSTRY SALES OR MARKETING.
Strong experience in marketing communications a must.
Experience working in multiple countries or regions is a plus.
Strong understanding of rates and tiers is an advantage.
Knowledge of best practices in working with direct clients is advantageous.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Proven English literacy – read, write and speak fluently.
Proven experience in data analysis and reporting.
Strong knowledge of marketing, sales, operations and business processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in MS, especially Excel and other data analysis tools.
