Medical Waste Treatment Plant Supervisor

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and organised plant supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our treatment plant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the plant, managing a team of production staff and maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency.

Job Duties:

1. Supervise and coordinate the operations of the medical waste treatment plant.
2. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
3. Oversee the disposal and treatment of medical waste materials.
4. Maintain records of waste processing activities.
5. Train and supervise plant staff.
6. Implement and enforce plant procedures and policies.
7. Monitor equipment performance and maintenance.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in a supervisory role within a waste treatment plant.
2. Knowledge of medical waste regulations and best practices.
3. Strong leadership and communication skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

Must have a matric, and a relevant qualification is an added advantage.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a waste treatment plant.

Knowledge and Skills:

1. Understanding of waste treatment processes.
2. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
3. Strong problem-solving abilities.
4. Must have electrical experience.
5. Must have mechanical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Waste Management. Experience working in the healthcare industry.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a medical waste treatment plant environment. It may require occasional weekend or evening shifts.
