The Media Services Project Coordinator is responsible for the effective management of the Broadcast Operating System (BOS).
This includes management of BOS processes for broadcaster programmes, provides appropriate support for national and collaborative partners, and fulfills a set of strategic responsibilities pertaining to TWR's ministry.
The Media Services Project Coordinator also coordinates aspects pertaining to administration of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and schedule changes.
SCOPE COMMUNICATION:
Communicates regularly with Global Media Services Director, Global Media Operations Director, Media Services Director Africa, Finance Team, Area Directors, Media Content Management Director, Global BOS Administrators, TWR and non-TWR partners.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
General
Consistently upholds the TWR and its global ministry in prayer individually and corporately.
Uphold TWR's vision "to reach the world for Christ through mass media so that lasting fruit is produced".
Carries out responsibilities in a manner that models a servant leadership style, upholding TWR's Core Values and statement of doctrinal position.
Works in close co-operation with Media Services Director, Media Services teams and other departments as needed.
Broadcast Operating System (BOS) Administration
Liaises with other BOS administrators (regionally & globally) to set up contracts for programmes sponsored in their regions.
Process M SA / ISN contracts within BOS.
Liaise with Production partners to confirm airing details for set up and billing.
Update contracts for rate increases as confirmed by GMS Director.
Enters all yearly budgets for Forecast as applicable in BOS as per donor / sponsor's amount for the year.
Track all entries that are made / adjusted.
Updates transmission outlets and set up new ones in BOS.
Process billing approvals for Africa.
Receive and enter Lost Air reports and capturing into BOS.
Reporting
Provides monthly report to the Media Services Director.
Bill all non-airtime services that are set up as actual (Mainly T&P) as verified in the Service Reports.
Track internal billing information for productions and airings in South Africa.
Check Monthly airing logs from partner office for verification on Service Reports.
Working with fellow Media Service team member on verification of Translation and Productions for monthly billing and verification on Service Reports.
Track donor funded projects from National Partners and ensure billing is timely.
Schedule Change
Issue Tentative and Final Inhouse Detailed Program Schedules (DPS), as well as schedule change notes for the A&B Schedule Changes and any ad hoc changes.
In collaboration with Media Services Director, communicate and share new schedules with all stakeholders.
Work with Technical Team to ensure all Frequency Changes are made in BOS for A and B schedule changes.
Produce Inhouse Sponsorship DPS for A and B Schedule changes and ad hoc changes in consultation with Media Services Director.
Upload schedules on SharePoint as necessary.
Email link for new DPS on SharePoint to ASC Staff once the schedule change has taken place.
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
Liaise with Partners and the Media Services Director to obtain documentation for productions.
Create IPR documents for partners for signature.
Follow-up on outstanding signed documents.
Upload signed document to IPR site on Sharepoint.
Other Responsibilities
Attend Semi Annual Global Media Services (GMS) Global Team meetings as scheduled by the Global Media Services Director.
Attend Africa GMS Team meetings as scheduled by the Global Media Services Operations Director.
Performs other duties as may be requested by the Media Services Director.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE JOB COMPETENCIES
Christian commitment and professing of personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior.
Commitment to TWR's mission, vision, core values and statement of doctrinal position.
Strong strategic orientation and thinking in the context of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19, 20).
Growing knowledge of the Word of God – the Bible.
Knowledge, skill and mental acumen equivalent to the completion of an undergraduate certificate with courses in administration, computer, management, leadership and cross-cultural communication.
Basic bookkeeping knowledge and project management.
Good knowledge of Microsoft package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc).
General knowledge of the history, structure, and operations of TWR.
Ability to prepare, review and issue requested reports from BOS.
Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relations across a variety of cultures.
Strong organization skills to be able to plan and prioritize work load and meet deadlines.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills and fluency in English.
A sense of calling to the ministry.
Ability and willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice or for extended periods of time.
Ability to provide factual and comprehensive reporting regarding BOS and Program schedule change responsibilities.
Ability to identify and address problems effectively.
Capacity to work as part of the greater team of staff at TWR.
