Mechanical Extruder Technician

• Set up and prepare extrusion equipment for customer training and trials
• Set up and prepare extrusion equipment for site installation and commissioning
• Operate various lab equipment and necessary supplies
• Maintain various lab equipment and necessary supplies
• Calibrate and adjust machinery to ensure it produces high quality product samples.
• Conduct extrusion trial runs at exhibitions and conferences
• Test product compounds or batches in a laboratory setting
• Perform analyses and comparisons of results to contribute to technical product development and innovation
• Prepare and document laboratory reports and procedures.
• Keep accurate records for gathered data
• Obtain quotations for raw material lab instruments and other related necessary supplies
• Promote extrusion lab products and services
• Conduct continuous research and development of extruded products
• Be able to work with both food and feed extrusion processes

Qualifications:

• Qualification in Consumer Science Food Technology
• or Qualification in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
• 1-3 years relevant experience with extruder machines and/or related equipment
• Experience in food manufacturing or production industry is an added advantage

• Computer knowledge and efficiency including MS Office products such as MS Visio, Excel, Word, and Project.
• Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel all over the world.
• Time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures
• Ability to work on tight deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure and be a team player.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time to meet deadlines
