Position: PR Eng. Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications: BSc or BEng Mechanical Engineering

Minimum Requirements:

1. Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in mechanical design such as failure mode and effect analysis, fatigue, asset life cycles, reliability engineering, TQM, materials handling equipment design, FEM, vessel & storage tank design & welding, and discrete element analysis (DEM)
2. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and concepts
3. AutoCAD & Inventor proficiency
4. Finite Element Analysis proficient - ANSYS

Responsibilities:

1. Perform engineering analysis, testing, and calculations to support the development of mechanical products
2. Prepare technical drawings and renderings of product designs
3. Work with other engineers to ensure that designs meet requirements for safety and quality
4. Research new technologies and materials to support product development
5. Generate ideas for new products or improvements to existing ones
6. Develop prototypes of new products and components
7. Perform quality control checks of manufactured products
8. Troubleshoot mechanical problems
9. Prepare reports and presentations on findings
10. Materials handling design
11. Pipeline design
12. Tank design or evaluation
13. Strength analysis
14. Finite element analysis
15. Thermal analysis
16. Rehabilitation of aging infrastructure
17. New infrastructure design
18. Working on multidisciplinary projects
19. Experience working in project teams
20. Compilation of design and investigation reports
21. Liaison with clients
22. Liaison with suppliers and external service providers
23. Interpreting client needs and making proposals to clients – verbally and written
24. Compilation of tender submissions
25. CAD modelling and draughting
26. Generation of Bills of Quantities, Scopes of Works, and Specifications
27. Project close-out
