Mechanical Design Engineer - Centurion

Our client, a renowned international company within the defence Industry, is seeking highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineers to join their team - to be based in Centurion or Cape Town. This role is pivotal in designing and developing advanced systems and components that meet stringent industry standards for safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and optimize systems using 2D / 3D CAD software
2. Conduct simulations, testing, and analysis to validate designs
3. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and integrate innovative solutions
5. Produce detailed documentation and resolve engineering challenges

Requirements:

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2. 5+ years in machine design and manufacturing (Defence & Security sector preferred)
3. 2+ years using 2D and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or equivalent)
4. Advanced problem-solving abilities
5. Mechanical design expertise (e.g., airframes, composites, fuel systems etc)
