This position involves teaching Grade 8-12 Mathematics, with a strong focus on preparing learners for the IEB (Independent Examinations Board) NSC examinations. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering analytical thinking, resilience, and problem-solving skills in our learners.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teach Mathematics to Grades 8 -12 in accordance with the IEB curriculum.
2. Prepare learners for NSC examinations, ensuring high academic standards and learner success.
3. Develop engaging lesson plans and differentiated teaching strategies to cater diverse learning needs.
4. Participate in subject-specific professional development and curriculum planning.
5. Contribute to the academic, cultural, and extracurricular life of the school.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. A PGCE or similar teaching qualification is essential.
2. Proven experience teaching Mathematics to Grades 8-12, preferably in an IEB environment.
3. Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
4. SACE registration (or ability to register before employment begins).
5. Experience with IEB assessments and marking.
6. A passion for inspiring learners and fostering a love for Mathematics.
7. Commitment to upholding the Christian ethos and values of Waterberg Academy.
8. Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to the broader life of the school.
