We are looking for a passionate and experienced Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy Teacher in the High School who can inspire confidence and joy in mathematics, while contributing positively to our school community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality mathematics and mathematical literacy instruction to high school students, ensuring understanding at various levels of proficiency.
• Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that engage students, building their confidence and excitement in mathematics.
• Foster a dynamic classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, exploration, and curiosity about mathematical concepts.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow educators, sharing best practices and actively contributing to a collaborative and supportive teaching environment.
• Engage with parents and the broader school community to support student learning and development, including communicating students’ progress and addressing concerns.
• Actively participate in all school-related activities, contributing to the overall spirit and sense of community within the school.
• Monitor and support pastoral care of students.
• Engage in reflection and staff development processes to continuously improve teaching practices, both individually and as part of the school’s professional development framework.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A recognized teaching qualification with a specialisation in High School Education and/or Mathematics.
• Proven experience in teaching high school mathematics with a track record of Grade 8 to 12 Mathematics teaching.
• A passion for mathematics and the ability to inspire and engage students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a personality suited to a community-focused environment.
• Current and Valid Registration with SACE.
• Computer literacy and ability to integrate IT suitably in teaching and learning.
• Current teaching experience in an ISASA school.
• Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of SAHETI School.
• Must be willing to teach Mathematical Literacy and Further Studies Mathematics.
