Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support the Marketing Capability Lead to supercharge our culture of learning and unlocking creativity to drive the growth of our people and our brands. The marketing specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing internal communication plans and initiatives that support the Momentum Group’s objectives to build capability, by upskilling marketers to transform our business through the facilitation of continuous learning through a variety of training courses; create effectiveness and marketing excellence; and build a connected ecosystem of marketing across the organisation.

Requirements

  • BA Communication or Marketing
  • Degree or Honors in Communications or Marketing
  • 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • External and internal marketing experience (Advantageous).
  • Project management and coordination experience.
  • Experience within Financial Services or FMCG specifically (Advantageous).
  • Experience working with creative partners in the development of marketing communication campaigns.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work with cross functional teams and agencies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Keep abreast of current and future trends, best practices, and emerging technologies within the capability and communication field and make recommendations for innovation and improvement.
  • Partner with the Capability Lead, internal and external stakeholders and provide expertise on innovative packaging and rolling out communication strategies.
  • Contribute to the implementation of internal marketing capability.
  • Draft and implement internal capability engagement and communication plans.
  • Continuously support the Capability Lead to improve the effectiveness of training initiatives such as The Marvel Academy, Spark sessions, and creative programmes and channels used to drive engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the Capability Lead, SIC team, and the marketing community to provide effective, professional, and efficient service.
  • Manage the Capability Lead’s expectations and ensure delivery of timeous execution and completion of capability communications on time in full.
  • Liaise with the Capability Lead in order to obtain capability strategy briefs and convert those into internal communication campaigns and messaging requirements.
  • Develop communication messaging with a strong bias towards digital and content creation.
  • Project manage the marketing capability communication plans on behalf of the Capability Lead in line with the capability calendar.
  • Draft clear and SMART briefs in response to capability needs.
  • Inspire creative collaboration and interpretation of capability goals and convert them into engaging, creative communication.
  • Provide support for conceptual creative development of ideas, themes, messaging, and campaigns (including writing) for the respective communication channels.
  • Training content conceptualisation across a variety of channels, for deployment on in-person and digital learning platforms.
  • Support to curate, write, publish, and distribute training content on Group Communication and Marketing Capability Learning Hub.
  • Support to conceptualise and develop creative concepts and engagement tactics for Marketing Capability events such as MConnect.
  • Support in working closely with Human Capital and practice owners to ensure integration with existing and other talent, onboarding, development programmes, curriculum, concepts, and systems.
  • Support the other members of the Strategy, Insights and Capability with communication plans for their initiatives.
  • Support the Capability Lead with day-to-day administration requirements.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders for cohesive integration of training programmes and initiatives that have an external component.
  • Support the Capability Lead in monitoring and evaluation of training and programmes to track against objectives and identify corrective measures.
