As the Marketing Manager, you will take a strategic role in managing campaigns for brands like Redbat, Anatomy, and collaborate with global partners such as Nike, Puma, Adidas, New Balance, and Vans. You will report directly to the Head of Marketing and oversee a passionate marketing team. Your key focus will be delivering innovative, culture-driven marketing initiatives that resonate with Sportscene’s young, fashion-forward customer base.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement marketing strategies for Sportscene and its key brands (Redbat, Anatomy and partner brands).
Drive brand awareness and customer engagement and sales across all channels (social media, digital, in-store, events).
Lead the planning and execution of high-impact campaigns that highlight Sportscene position as a cultural leader in streetwear.
Work closely with the creative, digital, and retail teams to ensure brand alignment and consistency.
Manage and mentor the Sportscene marketing team, providing leadership and guidance on key projects.
Oversee the Redbat + Anatomy brand team, ensuring cohesive strategies across Sportscene’s broader portfolio.
Build and maintain relationships with key brand partners (Nike, Puma, Adidas, New Balance, Vans), ensuring collaborative and successful campaigns.
Analyse and track the effectiveness of marketing efforts using data and insights to refine strategies.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in streetwear culture, fashion, and retail.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or similar in Marketing, Communications, or related field (MBA is a bonus).
5+ years of experience in a Marketing Manager or similar role within the fashion or retail industry.
Proven track record in brand management, campaign execution, and team leadership.
Experience working with streetwear, sneaker brands, or youth-focused retailers is highly advantageous.
Strong understanding of the South African consumer market, particularly within the 18-24 age demographic.
