Marketing Data Analyst

A leading international SaaS company operating in the fintech and proptech sector is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Marketing Data Analyst to join their South African team, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing Analytics.

As a Global Marketing Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting complex data and providing actionable insights to optimise marketing strategies. This role requires cross-functional collaboration to collect data, create reports, and drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse marketing lead and campaign performance data for reporting and optimization.
• Evaluate marketing performance across omni-channels, including paid, owned, and earned media.
• Manage campaign and source data within global CRM(s).
• Ensure accurate data collection using SQL, Excel, and GA4/Tag Manager.
• Collaborate with teams to align database marketing with business goals (e.g., data cleansing, standardization, and list creation for outbound prospecting).
• Improve marketing reporting processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s of Business (Marketing) or similar
• Around 5+ years' experience in marketing data analysis or a similar role
• Proven track record in using data analysis tools including SQL, Excel, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Python
• Familiarity with digital marketing channels and metrics,
• Experience with or knowledge of marketing SaaS products (B2B / B2C FMCG industries are also valuable).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a meticulous focus on data accuracy and integrity.

Salary and benefits:

• R600 0000 - R750 000 / year CTC
• Hybrid working arrangements with 1-2 days in the Stellenbosch office.
