Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Brand Promotion and Awareness: Implementation of marketing strategies to promote brand awareness and establish a strong brand presence in the marketplace.
  • Social Media Management: Execute social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, engage with followers, and drive stakeholder engagement by planning and creating engaging content, managing accounts, monitoring user interactions, and analysing performance metrics to optimise social media presence.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Assist with conducting market research to understand customer preferences, competitor activities, and industry trends.
  • Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with customers, stakeholders, influencers, and industry partners through social media engagement.
  • Reputation Management: Coordinate reputation management interventions.
  • PR Strategy and Planning: Execute PR strategies and campaigns aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Event Management: Coordinate and execute PR events and activities such as product launches, press conferences, exhibitions, industry conferences, and media briefings.
  • Media Execution and Engagement Maximisation: Ensure smooth execution and maximise media coverage and engagement.

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications and Social Sciences or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Track record in communication, public relations, and marketing.
  • Knowledge of online marketing and social media strategies.
  • Experience in a research environment.
  • Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA) registration at Associate Marketeer level an added advantage.

The appointment will be subject to a positive security clearance as well as competency and leadership assessments.
