Our Global client with Head Office in New Zealand and staff sitting in Cape Town, UK, New Zealand, India, and Europe are seeking a Junior Quality Engineer with 6 months to 2 years of experience in software testing or a related field.
Purpose of the position: The Quality Engineer L1 (QE) will support the testing of software products to ensure they meet industry standards and customer requirements. They will assist in executing test cases, reporting defects, and gaining exposure to automation tools and software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, collaborate effectively in a team environment, and communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders.

Research, Relationships and Authority:
This position requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Although this is a junior role, the candidate must be capable of working independently in a remote environment while remaining under appropriate supervision. The role has no authority to incur routine expenditure, commit capital expenditure, approve loans, or extend credit without approval from the Managing Director. The role has no authority to bind the Company to agreements with any other party without approval from the Managing Director or the Managing Director's designated representative.
Experience and Qualifications:
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications (optional but beneficial): ISTQB Foundation Level or other relevant QA certifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new testing methodologies and tools.
