(Manufacturing) QA Pharmacist

Job description

A globally renowned cosmetic company is in search of a QA Pharmacist to join this scaling team to ensure compliance to Quality Assurance requirements pertaining to all products manufactured by the Company as well as current processes are consistent with established QMS, GMP and legal standards.

Viable candidates must have:

  1. Bachelor of Pharmacy qualification.
  2. Registration with the South Africa Pharmacy Council.

Major Accountabilities

  1. Maintains compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO 22716 requirements across all facets of the company.
  2. Ensures the necessary investigations are conducted to determine root causes and corrective action to prevent re-occurrence.
  3. Facilitates non-conformance meetings are effective and efficient to ensure actions are completed.
  4. Ensures annual QMS Reviews are conducted accordingly as per ISO requirements.
  5. Conducts internal and supplier audits and have follow up meetings to resolve all findings with the relevant departmental managers or supplier.
  6. Responsible for all aspects of customer complaints process.
  7. Oversee the satisfaction survey process to all distributors.
  8. Responsible for all aspects of the Change Control process and escalates to the QA Manager when required.
  9. Chairs the Change Control meetings.
  10. Ensures all products are sufficiently controlled and that the correct procedures governing these products is implemented and batch release of products conducted (e.g. supplements).
  11. Monthly Hygiene feedback meetings held with all Managers to follow up on all findings and to raise deviations where applicable.
  12. Ensures all facets of the organization comply with Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical cGMP.
  13. Provide relevant monthly or quarterly reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Experience

  1. Minimum 2 years experience as a Quality Assurance Pharmacist in a manufacturing site.
  2. Production and quality assurance experience is critical.
  3. Proven knowledge of PICS, SAHPRA, ISO 9001 and 22716 requirements.
  4. Attention to detail & strong communication skills.
  5. Good presentation skills at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor of Pharmacy qualification.
  2. Registration with the South Africa Pharmacy Council.
