Managing Director

Hire Resolve’s client, a leading company in the financial services and wealth management sector, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Managing Director to lead and drive the success of its investment division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial services, strong leadership skills, and a track record of delivering business growth while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the division’s strategic goals and objectives.
• Provide leadership and direction to investment teams and executive managers.
• Oversee investment solutions, ensuring alignment with client risk and reward strategies.
• Maintain and enhance the division’s financial performance.
• Develop and execute marketing, sales, and growth strategies.
• Drive business negotiations and identify expansion opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, POPIA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Report on organisational performance and strategic initiatives to the CEO.
• Oversee the development and implementation of business systems and technology.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and business partners.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Uphold company culture, values, and reputation in the market.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in business management, finance, or investment management.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of investment management, finance, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning.
• Proven leadership and decision-making skills at an executive level.
• Excellent ability to analyze financial data and market trends.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience in driving business growth and achieving financial targets.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Exceptional problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
• Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English.
