Manager: UI/UX Designer – DOMGRUIUXDES

Our client based in Gauteng are currently seeking the skills of a Manager: UI/UX Designer.

Main job function

The Manager: UI/UX Designer will be responsible for driving the design and user experience strategy of software products by creating innovative, user-centric designs and ensuring that user interfaces are both visually appealing and highly functional.

They will work closely with senior managers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for optimization, and design intuitive UI/UX concepts that align with the expected outcomes. They will collaborate with other squad members to define design requirements and ensure integration of design into the software development process.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
Relevant industry certifications e.g., Certified UX Designer, Human-Computer Interaction Certification.

Criteria

1. 7+ years of relevant working experience.
2. Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a proven track record of delivering successful design projects.
3. Expertise in design initiatives and collaborating closely with product and development teams.
4. Experience in creating and implementing user-centric design solutions in a professional environment.
5. Experience of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
6. Proficiency in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
7. Proficient in using design software (e.g., Figma and other tools).
8. Strong knowledge of design principles, design methodologies, and tools.
9. Strong understanding of front-end development technologies e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript and their impact on design implementation.
