At their offices in Johannesburg, they are seeking, at the earliest possible entry date, a Manager of Executive Communications, Government Affairs & Strategic Projects.
Direct reporting to the Deputy CEO, Regional and the Head of the Competence Centre Events, Marketing and Membership and all Competence Centres of the Chamber.
Developing and writing speeches, briefings, papers, presentations, statements, position papers, and calls for comments as well as executive communication for the CEO.
Prepare meetings of the CEO with officials, members, and stakeholders. Prepare comprehensive background information and formulate consistent messaging, including press releases and interviews, in close cooperation with the Head of Membership, Marketing & Events.
Provide fast response and expert support to the CEO and management team. Develop and implement, together with management, the government affairs & advocacy strategy of the Chamber, locally and in the region.
Systematically and strategically strengthen local government relations and advocacy activities, including interaction with government and government-related stakeholders. Monitor and analyze policy developments pertaining to South African-German business relations.
Understand, assess, and communicate economic policies locally and in the region by interacting with government stakeholders as well as member companies regarding their practical implementation. In close coordination with the CEO, outreach to and manage relations with stakeholders such as the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), German Embassy, German ministries, German companies, think tanks, business associations, non-governmental organizations, universities, and research companies to develop and cultivate an extensive network.
Implementation and supervision of certain management initiatives & projects. Other tasks may be assigned as necessary.
