Job description

SUMMARY

The role holder is responsible for the management of end-to-end finance and accounting for Fund Services. The role holder will act as single point of contact for all of Fund legal entities and will be responsible for all finance and accounts related tasks such as Reporting, Accounting, Budgeting, Taxation, Management of funds, Costing, MIS, and Internal Audit for Fund Services.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain General ledger, Review Trial Balance on weekly basis.
  • Prepare financial statements and schedules and management information reports. Prepare audit schedules. Responsible for Statutory & Internal audits, tax returns.
  • Prepare inputs for periodic statutory returns. Prepare all necessary periodic reports. Compliance check and filing all statutory returns in time.
  • Reconcile on a periodic basis all statutory receivables & payables.
  • Good accounting knowledge, control and review day to day accounting, online maintenance of books of account, periodic reconciliation of accounts.
  • Ability to maintain books of accounts and finalise the books of accounts in high pressure environment with non-negotiable deadlines.
  • Supervise fund invoicing, accrual and billings. Review and monitor fund billings vs accrual on monthly basis.
  • Production of month end financials like separate and consolidated balance sheets, profit and loss A/c as per IFRS including finalization of quarterly and annual financials.
  • Ensuring monthly closing and other monthly, quarterly and annual MIS.
  • Compliance of statutory provisions of various laws.
  • Analyze report like SO report, budget vs actual and reasoning of the same.
  • Driving financial parameters with commercial control discipline across the business.
  • Other day to day activities in department including ledger scrutiny.
  • Prepare annual budget and variance analysis of Budget Vs Actual for reporting to group management.
  • Co-ordinate and follow up with the Local Management Team (LMT), Account Managers (AM) of the concerned office for solving day-to-day issues and to get any further information, if required.
  • Ensure 24-hour response and follow-up wherever needed.
  • Decision making on Operational issues for respective regions (Quality issues to QM).
  • Weekly G/L review and close the gaps observed (e.g. Suspense Account).
  • Review of periodic reports, budgets, office specific reports and Trial Balance.
  • Maintain delivery deadlines for Invoicing, MIS Reports etc.
  • Co-ordinate with collection and attend to all the queries raised by the MIS/Reporting team.
  • Preparation of financial statements/MIS reports as per the need of the regional office.
  • Preparation of Budgets for the region.
  • Co-ordinate and meet regularly with the Group Controller.
  • Plan, organize and manage the respective team members and activities.
  • Set road maps for the team and ensure good communication within the team.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • University degree with minimum 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in the similar area in the Fund/ financial industry with CA Inter/ ICWA Final or Inter.
  • Excellent MS Office skills especially Excel; and experience working with Finance/ Accounting platforms.
  • Basic skills pertaining to Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable & Banking and General Ledger.
  • Sufficient experience having handled independent unit with complete set of accounts.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Standards and principles of the concerned region.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, preferable in regional languages.
  • Exceptional client/ stakeholder facing skills. Well-developed spoken and written communication skills and the ability to tailor style to relevant audiences and successfully liaise with people at different levels. Excellent English language fluency: additional languages preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution driven, highly organized and detail orientated with good decision making and time management skills.
  • Independent, hands-on and takes accountability to deliver solutions and results.
  • Proven leadership and team player skills, with ambition to excel in the role and grow.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a smaller, dynamic local team environment with tight deadlines; along with being part of a bigger matrix organization.
