Requirements

  • Relevant B Tech/Degree
  • Minimum 8 years relevant managerial experience within a local government context with extensive knowledge in the digital government area
  • Sound knowledge of local government legislation and policies

Key Performance Areas

  • Ensures proper directing and managing of the Digital Corporate Governance section under their control in order to accomplish the Directorate's short and long-term service delivery objectives.
  • Develops and maintains constructive relationships/alliances between key stakeholders to ensure corporate governance and internal controls are embedded in all digital processes.
  • Assists the Chief Corporate Digital Governance to plan, design, and maintain a variety of corporate digital governance frameworks.
  • Interprets and analyses legislative and corporate policies, standards, and procedures and applies them correctly and effectively. Engages with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at executive and senior management levels to advise on corporate digital governance.
  • Develops a systematic process of monitoring and evaluating the Digital and Programme initiatives to ensure they meet predefined quality standards.
  • Determines operational procedures and formulates policy in respect of all matters falling within the functional area of the Department and within his/her delegated authority.
  • Provides assistance in the preparation of capital and operating estimates and controls expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
  • Ensures that all general management functions (such as providing input into Digital Corporate Governance policies and procedures, developing, monitoring, and reporting on project budgets, resourcing and asset management, contract management, and championing of initiatives) are effectively executed.
