Job Description

Mr Price Home has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, highly organized, and highly numerate Management Accountant for a 1 year fixed term contract.

Reporting into the Financial Manager, the ideal candidate will be a capable, experienced Management Accountant who has the ability to provide commercial support and insights to make better business decisions and optimize investment opportunities and profitability.

Responsibilities

Reporting & Administration:

1. Assist with preparing and updating monthly financial forecasts and commentary, together with the financial analysis in relation thereto.
2. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and strategy packs.
3. Work with auditors at critical reporting periods.
4. Act as an additional signatory for the review and release of all payments.

Project and Data Analysis:

Provide analytical solutions that generate actionable insight across the business, primarily within the finance space. This will include:

1. Project implementation and testing post-implementation (UAT), including ERP-related analysis and reporting.
2. Analytics required for the preparation of month-end financial entries and processing.
3. Investigation of any data discrepancies identified, ensuring that data required is consistent, readily available, and accurate.
4. Designing and maintaining reports that allow the business to make critical decisions.

Qualifications

1. A Bcomm Hons- Accounting, Finance or completed CIMA qualification.
2. 2-3 years' experience, preferably including commercial operational experience.
3. Some of the other necessary skills include:
   1. Data modelling experience.
   2. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
   3. Ability to manage small projects and interact with cross-divisional role players.
   4. Strong analytical skills.
   5. Advanced computer skills, specifically on Microsoft Excel (Power Query would be advantageous).
