Management Accountant

An exciting position is available for a detail-oriented Management Accountant to join my client’s established logistics operation in Cape Town. The successful individual will work directly with the CFO to drive financial strategy and business performance. If you’re an analytical thinker who thrives under pressure and can skillfully balance management reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning while maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, I want to hear from you! Experience with CargoWise software is a necessity.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the CFO and Treasury Accountant
2. Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth
3. Provide accurate and sound management reporting
4. Produce month end and year end journals
5. Preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports
6. Present reports to senior management
7. Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process
8. Compile strategies to reduce business costs
9. Advise on the financial implications of business decisions
10. Manage capital expenditure
11. Produce financial statements
12. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
13. Review accounting processes and practices and improve
14. Developing and overseeing financial procedures and identifying opportunities
15. Control income and expenditure within the business
16. Communicate with all levels within the organisation with the ability to present financial information to non-finance members of staff
17. Analysing and managing risk within the business
